How - Crack Gauge
Who would have thought that a flimsy credit-card-sized piece of aluminium with a hole in could be made into something that cost nearly twenty quid?? And why does no one make a cheap paper version? I rarely use the crack gauge, as most cracks tend to be hairline, and when inspected during a single visit, it is difficult to determine if they are historic or active.
