Inspection chamber covers are the bain of most surveyors' lives! They are usually bent out of shape, full of grit and silt and missing the handles they had when they were manufactured. It takes determination and the risk of a hernia to get some lifted so a proper inspection of the drains can be carried out. There is little immediate relief to be gained from getting the cover up, as it's got to go back down satisfactorily yet...
