How - Kinfe Chisel and Pen Knife

I use the Morakniv knife chisel for nearly every section of the survey, its rarely out of my hand or pocket. I find its safer to use and more versatile than the pen knife. Not the easiest thing to get hold of, but worth spending time to find. Some examples of its use:

  • Checking timber for decay and insect attack

  • Examining stone for decay

  • Examining the different types of mortar in a wall

  • Prying and opening things

  • Lifting carpets
