My good friend Mike Higginbottom (https://www.mikehigginbottominterestingtimes.co.uk/) is once again running his ‘A Bus Ride Round Attercliffe’ heritage bus tour on 18th June (Father's Day). I went on the tour last year and thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon. The vintage bus departs from Pond Hill at 14:00 and makes its way around the east end of Sheffield with stops at Carbrook Hall, the Zion Graveyard and the EIS. I’ve included some photos of last year's tour.
1 and 2 – the vintage No. 54 bus that takes you around in period splendour.
3 – Darnall Works, rear.
4, 5 and 5 – Carbrook Hall – the ceiling, panelling and fireplace in the ground floor room and the fireplace and door in the upstairs room, which Mike arranged access to as this area is not usually open to the public.
Tickets for the tour can be purchased via Mike’s website: https://www.mikehigginbottominterestingtimes.co.uk/?page_id=9640 .
