Stanley Power Lock – seems to work fine. Online reviews of all tape measures seem to be hit and miss on every model so we’ll be sticking with this until we find a better one.

• What size are your ridge boards, hips, purlins, rafters, joists and beams?

 

All these questions can be answered by unfurling a roll of thin sheet metal from a pocket-sized box.
